YES, WE SELL CORVETTES…BUT WE’RE COLLECTORS TOO!

JOE VERRILLO BRINGS HIS “TANKER COLLECTION” (AND A FEW OTHER SPECIAL CORVETTES) TO NCRS MARLBOROUGH

People who stop into Verrillo Motor Car immediately realize we’re not any sort of “ordinary car showroom”; indeed, we are connoisseurs and purveyors of some of the finest examples of automotive art in the world.
But that absolutely does not mean that we simply buy, sell and produce world-class cars; in fact, we are car fans and aficionados just like our clients, and just like you, we have a weakness for collecting great cars.

Enter Joe Verrillo, VMCC boss, and fan of rare Corvettes and GM muscle.

At the recent NCRS (National Corvette Restorers Society) Regional Judging Event in Marlborough, Massachusetts, Joe brought along 3 beautiful cars to show and judge – any one of which a dedicated Corvette collector would be proud to own. They included a 1967 Tuxedo Black L79 Corvette Convertible (which earned a coveted Performance Verification Award), a Glen Green 1965 327/ 350HP Corvette Coupe, and the beautiful Milano Maroon 1965 396/ 425HP Corvette Convertible.

Joe also brought along 4 very special cars for judging – his own personal “Tanker Collection”. (“Tankers” are rare Corvettes equipped with a special oversized 36 gallon fiberglass fuel tank, which was a rare factory option added to allow Corvettes to compete in long-distance endurance races.)

Included in that collection are a Rally Red 1966 L79 N14 Export Coupe, a Nassau Blue 1965 Disc Brake Delete A/C-optioned Coupe, a 1964 Tuxedo Black J56 Coupe, and a Sebring Silver 1963 Split Window Z06 Coupe. Each of these amazing cars is truly impressive and rare in its own right; as a collection, these four Corvettes are nothing short of breathtaking. All 4 earned Regional Chapter Top Flight honors.

“It’s really satisfying to give Corvette enthusiasts a chance to see these cars up close, so they can learn more about them and truly appreciate these unique vehicles. That’s the payoff for a collector; re-introducing amazing cars to the Corvette world.”
